Emanuele Rapetti

Emanuele Rapetti was born in 1982 in Acqui Terme, a beautiful little city in the middle of Monferrato hills.

Since he was a child, he liked media and, when he started the Liceo Socio-Psico-Pedagogico, he decided to study the problems concerning education and media communication, particularry television and Internet. During the University time, he knew Pier Cesare Rivoltella ("Media Education" teacher) and he made his interest the object of his study. He graduated (Laurea Triennale) in 2004 with a Thesis titled "L'educazione nel sistema scuola-territorio. Un progetto di Media Education per una Biblioteca Civica", under Professor Rivoltella supervision.

In 2005 he went to Belgium, at Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve to investigate the problems in evaluating Media Education effects and implications, with Professor Thierry deSmedt.

In his Master Thesis ("Il problema della valutazione nell'ambito della Media Education", December 2007) he translated for the Italian contest Professor deSmedt's theory "Cinq pédagogies pour l'éducation aux médias" and proposed an evaluating-assessing system for Media Education.

In the last five years he also worked in a school as external expert, in a community for minors as educator and in a professional school as teacher for handicapped children.
